Before you sign up.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep the number that's on your truck, your signs, and your Google listing. We set your line to forward to TradeLoom only when you don't pick up or you're already on a call — so when you can answer, you answer.
What does the caller actually hear?
Your greeting, in the words you typed, in English or Spanish. Then a short conversation to get their name, what's wrong, where they are, and how soon they need someone. Most calls run under two minutes.
Are calls recorded?
Yes, and every caller is told so at the start — that notice can't be removed, because in several states recording without it isn't legal. You can play back, download, or permanently delete any recording from the app.
Will it quote a price for me?
Only if you tell it to, and only from a rate card you fill in yourself. Out of the box it gathers the details and leaves the number to you. It will never invent a price.
What happens if it doesn't understand someone?
You still get the brief, marked as incomplete, with their phone number, the time they called, and the recording attached. A partial brief beats a missed call — that's the whole point.
What if a caller just wants to talk to me?
It'll try to put them through. If you can't pick up, it takes the details the way it normally would and tells them when you'll be calling back.
Can I turn it off?
One switch in the app. Taking a week off, or just want your phone back for an afternoon — flip it and callers get a plain message instead. Cancel the whole thing any time, no phone call required.
